Chrome EnDuraLux is an innovative soft surfaced flooring invented by the designer
looking to provide their clients with alternatives to traditional
flooring and coverings. Available in
rolls 54” wide and in 72”widths.
This product provides rich woven textures and colors for the
floor ranging from high-tech “metallics” to the natural look of
sisals. A
woven vinyl fabric is bonded to a soft polyurethane cushion.
It is easy to install and maintain, it’s stain resistant and
very durable. It is so
versatile it can be used in many applications in yachts, houseboats and
motor coaches. This
product was recently used in Herman Miller Showrooms in New York, Los
Angeles, and Chicago as well as MTV’s corporate headquarters in New
York City. General
Installation, (summary): Can
be used over concrete, wood sub-floors, ceramic tile, metal floors and
radiant heated flooring (such that it does not exceed 85 degrees). It
may be loose laid because of the backing’s unique formulation that
develops a lateral bond with a smooth floor surface, or as a direct glue
down installation. Adhesives
for direct glue down can be either permanent or releasable.
Seams that are loose laid may be backed with double stick tape
and then sealed with a seam sealer.
Loose laid installations are not recommended for high traffic and
high abuse areas. After
installation, trim the white polyester strings with scissors along the
exposed edges and finish by blowing down all seams with an industrial
hot air blower held 4-6” above the product.
This will shrink and fuse any exposed fibers.
We
also sell, latex seam sealer, multi-purpose adhesive for permanent
direct glue downs as well as releasable adhesives.
Adhesives can be shipped with every order. General
Maintenance (summary): This
product is very tough and durable and few household chemicals affect it.
Routine maintenance and periodic cleaning of this or any flooring
with provide a long and useful life.
Dirt and soil degrade any flooring so proper maintenance will
increase it’s life. Water
can be used along with detergents and shampoos, being careful not to
“over-wet” the cleaning areas.
Sealers, waxes, and stain repellents are not required.
The floor can be vacuumed and mopped.
Other types of cleaning machines can be used such as “Hoover
Floor Mate”, rotary bonnet and pads, and auto scrubbers can even be
used. Clean up spills as quickly as possible by blotting, but all types of stains can be cleaned by blotting with paper towels, or if necessary detergent and a scrub brush. EnDuraLux is very Durable and Luxurious. It will provide years of enjoyment and ease of maintence.
